Need urgent mental health help?
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency. If you are feeling like you need urgent help for you or for someone else, it is important that you seek help and talk to someone.
My life is in immediate danger:
- I feel like I might attempt suicide.
- I feel like I may seriously harm myself.
- I have harmed myself and need medical help.
- I have taken an overdose (more than the daily recommended dosage of any medication for your age).
I have reason to believe that the above may apply to someone I know and I believe their life may be at immediate risk.

You need urgent help.
You can attend any hospital A&E department

You can call 999 for an ambulance

I need advice or support fast, but it’s not an emergency:
- I am feeling emotionally distressed.
- I am having suicidal thoughts.
- I feel unable to cope and I don’t know what to do.
I have reason to believe that the above applies to someone I know and I want to help them seek support from a professional.
